support for the touring music community

Although I work with people of all different backgrounds and situations, I have a special place in my heart for the past & present touring music community and feel that I can bring a fresh outlook and high level of understanding to those who travel frequently and their significant others.

No matter your role in the music business, this lifestyle is difficult. The long hours and frequent traveling away from your home and loved ones can take a toll on your physical and mental well-being. Transitions are tough enough as it is and maybe you go through them regularly.

Individual Counseling

The rates of anxiety and depression for musicians and music industry professionals is much higher than the average population. What happens when your passion becomes a burden? Let’s chat about how to find balance in your life, still enjoying what you love while cultivating your own self-care.

  • Maybe you know what it’s like to be in high demand with plenty of work one month and nothing happening the next month.

  • Do you struggle with choosing to leave your family at home while you pursue work that you love miles away?

  • Do you experience transitions in your life every few months or even every week going from your road family that you’ve become close with to your home family or maybe no family at all at home?

  • Do you struggle with allowing yourself and your art to be for sale and criticized?

  • Do you flip from chaos and constant movement in your work to way too much downtime when you come off the road maybe leading to some depressive feelings?

  • Do you feel like you’re living a double life; one on the road and one at home?

  • Do you feel isolated in your situation?

  • Is the nomadic lifestyle making it difficult for you to stay healthy and grounded?

  • Are you contemplating a career change, but this is all you’ve ever known?

couples counseling

Relationships are tough and can be made even more difficult when one person is not physically present, causing frustration, communication issues, and stress.

  • Maybe you have what feels like a long-distance relationship while you live in the same house, but can’t physically be together due to travel schedules.

  • How do you communicate during travel?

  • Maybe you get used to your schedule and routine and then you are forced to once again change it.

  • Does one person carry more of a load in the household?

  • Do you feel like expectations from your partner are unrealistic?

  • Do you constantly shift your parenting from one person to both?

  • Do you resent your partner’s work?

  • Do you feel that your partner doesn’t understand the nature of your work & what you go through when you travel?

  • Have you become so independent that you find it difficult to be a couple?
