Trauma therapy (EMDR)

All of us have experienced trauma in one form or another, but many don’t realize it. Trauma can be a huge life-altering event or it can be a seemingly insignificant moment. No matter what, pain and trauma can become a distorted lens through which we see ourselves.

I am an EMDR Certified Therapist trained to utilize Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy in sessions and I have found it to be incredibly healing. EMDR can be used to treat the following challenges:

  • Anxiety, panic attacks, and phobias

  • Chronic illness and medical issues

  • Depression and Bipolar disorders

  • Dissociative disorders

  • Eating disorders

  • Grief and loss

  • Pain

  • Performance anxiety

  • Personality disorders

  • PTSD and other stress-related issues

  • Sexual assault

  • Sleep disturbance

  • Substance abuse and addiction

  • Violence and abuse
